On our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, Karl and I became pin collectors / traders. Disney pins aren’t new, but this fun (and expensive!) hobby was a brand new world to us, and we got hooked!

My magical Mouse ears collection…
An item you may see a lot of around Walt Disney World and the Disney Parks in general are Mouse ears. For me, they’re a must have. I feel naked if I’m in a park without a pair on my head. Not only do Disney produce a large variety, the handmade Mouse ears scene is huge! Lots of very talented people create their own themed Mouse ears and sell them on sites such as Etsy.

Karl and I recently came back from a week in Las Vegas. It’s a place I never, EVER thought I would get to visit so it was all rather exciting!
I’d never visited a casino before or even gambled so what a place to start. I had some preconceptions and I really didn’t know what to expect but I can honestly say, it’s one of the best places I’ve ever been (apart from Disney of course!). Let me share our trip with you.

Hey everyone and happy Saturday. Very happy today as this is my last weekend working before I start my new job, whoop! I’ve been so down for the last few months that it is pure relief that I’m feeling at the moment because I know that on 2nd November, it’s all change.
So on to a couple of little things that have also cheered me up today…

Good evening everyone. Had a rather marvelous day off yesterday. My day started with a fab breakfast; a bacon sandwich made with smoked maple cure bacon…heaven!
Knitting and a rather long afternoon nap.
So after having a whole weekend off and working one day, you could imagine how happy I was to have yesterday off. I was still getting over the weekend so I slept right through until H.T.B got up for work which is quite unusual for me as I’m normally awake before he is.
I had decided before I’d even got out of bed that it was going to be a complete chill out, naughty day. When I say naughty, I mean a McDonalds breakfast sort of day! (I had a sausage, egg and cheese bagel, yum!) All the house work that needed doing was left and I was going to make the most of my day doing nothing!
